Satisfying my Sweet Tooth with Royce' Chocolates

One of the bad habits that have started to plague me again since I've gotten pregnant is the return of my notorious sweet tooth.  I used to have this curbed down pat but with this pregnancy, it just seems so much easier to give in to my cravings.  And there is a Filipino saying that denying pregnancy cravings can lead to one's baby developing a birth mark resembling the food you denied yourself of (how that will translate to a mark, I'll never know.  Hehehe!)

Hubby, being the ever supportive husband, did always know what calms me down.  So on one particular trip to visit me and my growing tummy here in RP, he bought with him boxes of Royce' chocolates!

Royce', a Japanese firm, has been selling chocolates since the 1980s.  And with such a wide array to choose from, you'll never tired of their offerings.

My favorite?  Of course the Venezuela Bitter chocolates!  Dark chocolate is the healthier choice.  =)

One box comes with 2 varieties (20 pieces each).  This one came with Venezuela Bitter and Ghana Sweet.

Royce' has already made it's presence known in the Philippine market as well.  I'm not sure of the other branches, but when hubby and I dropped by their stall in Greenbelt, they had quite a limited number of offerings, so unlike their stores in Singapore where there are rows upon rows of chocolates in various varieties to choose from.  Hopefully, we'll see more variety here soon.

A box of the same kind hubby bought for me sells for around SGD15 (approximately around Php500 plus).  A similar box sells for about Php540 to 580, depending on the chocolate types chosen, in their Greenbelt stall.

For chocolate lovers out there, Royce' is definitely a brand to try.  =)

About the filipino saying, i didn't know that until now. But that's kinda interesting. I'll probably relay that to other people who doesn't know, too. LOL. :D

  2. @Miss Do-it-All: Hehehe! The belief is just a Filipino superstition. I don't think it really happens. Hehehe! =D

  3. I think I've tasted that once in this lifetime, and the first bite made me feel like I just died and went to heaven. Now all I need is a boyfriend to buy me a box :)
