Organics on Parade: Human♥Nature

I've always admired companies with a great social responsibility program -- a belief that has been distinctively instilled in me by my former company.  Having seen first hand how much a corporation can do to uplift the lives of others, I now truly understand that resolving the country's problems takes the combined effort of each and every citizen.

Combine that program with organic, natural products at an affortable price, and you've got one great enterprise that will surely last a long, long time.

That being said, is it any wonder why HumanNature is quickly catching the attentions of the average Filipino consumer?

Some Human  Nature products.

Following a 3Ps advocacy (Pro-Philippines, Pro-poor and Pro-environment), HumanNature is fast gaining momentum and already has garnered a steady stream of loyal consumers.

HumanNature 100% Natural Lip Balm in Peppermint flavor (Php69.75 regular price)

HumanNature 100% Lip Balm in Peppermint

One of HumanNature's newest products, this lip balm is made from cocoa butter and pure plant oils.  Unlike most similar commercially-produced products that contain crude oil derivatives (petrolatum, mineral oil and paraffin), this one is made from all natural ingredients, thus is safe in case ingested.

I have to admit, I'm not much for lip care products simply because I don't like the feel on them on me.  I'm used to being make-up free for most of the of the year, but when I do need to have my war face on, the very 1st thing that gets removed is whatever is painted on my lips.

And no, it's not because I ate or something to that effect.  I'ts because I wipe it off immediately when my make-up artist isn't looking.

But with this one, I sing a different tune.  I love how minty and fresh it feels on my lips, especially when I lick them (a habit I developed from long ago.)  It feels so light and cool.  So much different from the other peppermint balms I've bought before.

And at only Php69.75 (regular price), it's cheaper than most commercially available products out in the market.

HumanNature's Luxury Body Scrub (Php194.75 for a 100g tub)

HumanNature's Luxury Body Scrub

I'm prone to developing pimples all over my body.  And when I say all over, I mean ALL OVER.  They populate my chest and back especially during the summer months.

One thing I've discovered that keeps them at bay is to do a full body exfoliation 2 to 3 times a week.  Although I have yet to find a body scrub I don't like (since almost all of the brands I've tried have done the job as they've promised), I do find that most cream-based ones are a little sticky and leaves a hot, greasy feel even after spending 15 minutes under the shower trying to rub the sensation off.

I've resigned myself to this fact since all products I've thus tried have this unfortunate side effect.  That is until I encountered HumanNature's Luxury Body Scrub (Php194.75 for a 100g. tub and Php324.75 for 200g.)

Made from brown rice beads that serves to exfoliate the skin and cocoa butter to moisturize the body, among other good stuff, this light body scrub is perfect for those times when you just want to pamper yourself.

I'm not just into the scent though.  It reminds me of a little Lysol (maybe its because it's lemongrass-scented?) but it's no biggie since I find that the scent doesn't linger for long.  Goody!

HumanNature's All Natural Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer (Php64.75 for a 50ml. bottle)

HumanNature's All Natural Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer

Another HN product I love!  HumanNature's All Natural Citrus Burst Spray Sanitizer is a natural way of killing germs.  It's triclosan-free and can be used in a variety of ways -- as a toilet seat cleaner, disinfectant room spray, hand sanitizer, etc.

It has a nice light citrus smell that doesn't linger for long and, get this, doesn't leave your hards with that hot, chemical-feel (not really sure how to exactly describe it.

Have you ever noticed how when washing your hands after using other sanitizers, there's a soapy residue that forms?  Well, there's none of that in this one!  Yeba!

I'm definitely a convert.  Can't wait to try more products from them!

  2. i was a skeptic of HumanNature products before. i thought it was just another marketing thing but apparently, organic really *is* the way to go. :) i have lip balm, the sanitizer, and massage oil *wink, wink* and have found all of them useful!

i also keep the sanitizer in the bathroom. we haven't had guests come over yet but i'm sure they appreciate having the sanitizer inside our bathroom just in case they have 'emergencies' and won't be that shy emerging from it. :)
