Christmas in the (Lion) City

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... in the Lion City.

Huge Christmas tree at Marina Square mall

Ahhh... Christmas.  My favorite season.  December is definitely my favorite month since not only does my birthday fall on a day in this glorious season, it's also one of the most heartwarming and festive holidays ever.  People just seem so cheerful and kind during these final months of the year (although I wish the kindness would be a year round thing).

Here in Singapore, Christmas is, of course, also celebrated with much festivity and cheer.  But unlike in the Philippines where decors and seasonal songs can be seen and heard as early as September or October, here it only starts to show by early November (the latest).

We'll be lucky enough to be spending Christmas and New Year's days with the family back home (I am actually counting down the days already.  Wheee!!!)  And it will feel so good stepping on Philippine soil again, no matter what our country's state may be in.

But till that day comes, I'll be content admiring the festive decor around Singapore.

Malls all decked out for Christmas

Starbucks, too

Advance Merry Christmas, everyone!
