Have a Delightful Lunch at Cafe Mary Grace

Who hasn't tasted, or at least heard of, a Mary Grace ensaymada?  That fluffy, cheesy and oh-so-delicious delicacy that has graced hundreds of Filipino tables regardless of whether it was during special, grand occasions or simple, everyday celebrations.

Our family loves this particular branded pastry to bits, but who knew they could also churn out other non-dessert and savory meal items?  And so when we first came across their concept restaurant at Serendra -- Cafe Mary Grace -- we just knew that we had to try it out.

Let me start of by saying that I am so loving this restaurant's decor!  It gives off that warm, homey feeling of a country cottage in summer.  Add soothing music and it makes for such a great relaxing experience.

Tables are decorated with personalized letters from their hundreds of satisfied costumers and are adored with a simple floral arrangement set in the middle.

They also provide a few books and magazines for your reading pleasure.

The cafe is also full of wood work, colored glass lighting fixtures and metal adornments as pictured below.

I could go on and on but of course, this is a food entry and as such, I also have to harp about their gastronomical offerings, right?  =)

I suggest you try their Mushroom Cream Pasta (Php264), composed of linguini noodles in cream topped with mushrooms and essence of truffles.  Truly heavenly!

Their Seafood Pasta (Php244) is bound to be a surefire hit for all seafood afficionadoes.  Pasta noodles topped with clams, shrimp, squid and cream dory in a tomato-based sauce littered with herbs, olives and mushrooms.  It's enough to make anyone drool in anticipation.

Both pasta noodles were cooked al dente, seasoned just right and is truly flavourful at each and every bite.  Oh!  And don't get me started on the garlic bread that came with our pastas.  It was so great and tasty!  We actaully considered ordering more.

To quench your thrist, try their homemade Peach Iced Tea (Php75), a natural country peach tea mixed with the fruit's natural nectar.

The cafe's staff were so attentive as well, always ready to cater to our every needs.  Such wonderful customer service!

They also serve a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts.  There's something for everyone!

Just thinking about this meal makes we want to rush on over to one of their branches and gorge myself full again.  =)
