PIN SI Kitchen (A Singapore Food Post)

As the saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.  Well put, if I do say so myself.

So when in Singapore, you'd more or less be eating like a Singaporean when dining out.  And what's more in tune to the local fare than by having a meal at PIN SI Kitchen.

PIN SI Kitchen

PIN SI Kitchen aims to bring "gourmet meals to the heartlands of Singapore."  I can't attest to how true to form (read: gourmet) they are (I am not a chef, anyway), but as long as they deliver the goods, then we're absolutely fine.

At their AMK Hub branch

First up is Baked Salted Kampong Chicken Rice (S$8.80 or Php290*), an old-time favorite of most locals here.

Baked salted kampong chicken

Very juicy and tender.  Also tastes like Hainanese Chicken Rice (would love clarification on this if anyone's an expert on both dishes, please.  TIA!)  In fact, it also comes with it's own set of condiments, too

Next up, some Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce (S$8.90 or Php293*) for the second dish.

Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce

Not too sweet.  Just right.  The Little One enjoyed this particular treat.

And some Seafood Fried Rice (S$8.80 or Php290*) to complement both dishes.

Seafood Fried Rice

You won't hear me complaining about the food.  In fact, they sort of remind me of Mann Hann in the Philippines (and you know how terribly homesick I am nowadays.)

*Sigh* Sure reminds me of special Sunday dinners back home.  L

*S$1 = Php33
