Revisiting Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

The family had a chance to stay at the Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, after typhoon Pedring's unwelcomed September 2011 check-in, on 2 separate occasions -- one last November 2011 and the other quite recently when we celebrated the Madir's birthday early February 2012.

Storage Solutions from The Landmark Department Store

You see, the thing with traveling with the Little One is all her itsy bitsy teeny clothes get mixed up with a lot of my adult-sized ones.  It gets really frustrating rummaging through a big overnight or luggage bag just to get to her essentials (and boy, does she have a LOT!)

So being such the OCD ridden person that I am, I decided a few storage keepers and organizers from The Landmark were just the thing to bring back order to our cluttered travel lifestyle.

Get Gorgeous and Healthy at the Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm

I've been to numerous trips to Tagaytay and yet only had just recently, finally spotted the way to the Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm, a small off-the-beaten path refuge that is slowly becoming one well-known tourist hotspot in the South.

Polland's Fresh Chinese Lumpia

I used to be such a picky eater as a kid.  And like all others, I once also had a great aversion for veggies.  But as time passed by and my palate changed, eating nutritious and healthy fare became a treat as well.

And one of my favorite vegetable-based dishes would be fresh lumpia -- preferably the ubod (heart palm)-filled kind.  And Polland, in my opinion, serves one of the best!

Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban

We've been having pancit canton from Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban delivered to the office for quite some time now.  Similar to Amber, this dish has also become a staple of most birthday celebrations and other special occasions.

But I've never had the opportunity to dine at one of their actual restaurants till just recently when the family found ourselves near their Kalayaan Avenue branch.

The Unassuming LZM Restaurant

It's amazing how some of the best Filipino dishes around can come from the most uninspired, unnoticeable eateries.

Take LZM Restaurant, for instance, who was cited at Unilever Foodsolutions, the Department of Tourism and the Inquirer Lifestyle's Sooo Pinoy (Evolving Filipino Flavors): National Search for the Ultimate Pinoy Dish as one of the restaurants serving the best daing na bangus and sinigang in the country.

FAB FIND! My Nautical-inspired Bag from Robinson's Department Store

I was never one to invest in bags, mainly because I get tired with a design after a few months/years of use.  Although I make an exception for office bags since this is important in setting a professional image.  But other than that, my other totes, handbags, carriers, etc. designed for more casual wear and tear (say a mall trip during the weekends), I just buy whatever I find is cute and age appropriate.

So when I saw this nautical-inspired tote at Robinson's Place Manila selling for only Php99(!), I just knew I had to get me one quick.
