When in Manila (sorry, former WIM write here.  Hehehe!), my (and the Little One's) McDonald's breakfast item of choice is an egg McMuffin.  But here in Singapore, a McDonald's sausage McGriddles with egg is the only way to go.

Takopachi: Japanese Takoyaki in Singapore

Takoyaki, or more simply known as octopus balls, are savory wheat dough balls originating from Osaka, Japan.  A special treat when we were younger, these small, fried spheres were a constant merienda (afternoon snack) staple whenever we found ourselves in Harrison Plaza (please note that this was during the 1980s and 90s when it still housed the very old Rustan's supermarket) where a Sumarai stall was located.

But we're no longer in the Philippines.  And here in Singapore, one of the best stalls that serve this scrumptious treat is Takopachi.

A recent trip to Resort World™ Sentosa found us face-to-face with huge posters about the upcoming theater production, The Addams Family Musical.

One of the best things about living in a cosmopolitan city like Singapore is the presence of various local and international brands.  From clothes to home furnishings to food -- they're well-represented here.  Our family may not be much of a shopper, but the availability of dining establishments here, whether serving savory or sweet (or both) fare, is something we take true delight in.

The Husband and the Little One loves ice cream for dessert.  And what better place to have a scope than at Ben & Jerry's.

A Singapore Food Post: Swensen's®

After the fiasco that happened at NAIA 3 and my slight annoyance at certain passengers during our flight back to our 2nd home (read more about that in my previous post -- link here), the Little One and I finally arrived in Singapore without any other major mishap.  Whew!
And with us having arrived a little later than expected, we decided to have an early dinner before heading on for home.  Our choice?  Why, Swensen's®, of course.
