SG | Chic-a-boo Fried Chicken

When you have a kid, fried chicken is always a surefire hit, albeit a bit on the unhealthy side.  Not something a good parent will always serve, but when out and about and wanting a fuss-free meal with the kiddo, we go fried fowl.

And so it was after the Little Girl's (a.k.a The Little One) gym class, we decided on getting a piece at Chic-a-boo Fried Chicken.

Chic-a-boo Fried Chicken

A local player in the Singapore food industry, Chic-a-boo started out selling their fried chicken in a hawker center.  They were so well-received that they eventually went the fast food route and rented a place inside popular malls.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Fried chicken cooked to perfection with crunchy skin.  Pair it off with their various sides (reminiscent of Kenny Roger's/Astons) and you have yourself a complete meal -- costs on average S$7.90 a set.

Not bad, if I do say so myself.

My only gripe would be the kitchen staff at Marina Square.  We've eaten here more than a few times already and on each occasion, our food either (1) usually takes a while to come out and/or (2) one order would almost always be wrong.  Their demeanor?   A bit rude.

Hoping this changes soon.  :(
