The Connoisseur Concerto, TCC for short, will always have a special place in this foodie's heartThe food, whether savory or sweet, is always divine.  And the service?  Simply outstanding.

And it's because of those 2 special reasons (is there really anything else?) that has made TCC one of our favorite restaurants here in Singapore, playing host to a number of important events in our still early marriage and family life.  In fact, it was in one of their branches that the Husband and I celebrated the announcement of the Little One's presence (in my tummy) with a quiet and intimate lunch.  Another one introduced the then 11-month old Little One to her favorite dessert of all time -- cheesecake.  A number of other branches played host to cozy dates and warm family get-togethers.  So it's really no surprise that I'll be featuring them in a post, albeit I should have done so earlier.

The Connoisseur Concerto (TCC)

The Connoisseur Concerto is "the leading chain of art boutique caffès boasting a comprehensive selection of gourmet food and creative beverages."(SOURCE: TCC website)  I've never once had a discouraging experience with them -- food and service alike.  Servers are attentive and highly knowledgeable.  Food, whatever our order may have been (and we've been dining there for close to 3 years now), is never a disappointment.

I could go on and on about the culinary delights and exemplary service that TCC supplies; but since I'm not really in the mood to write my usual lengthy novella (It will only be self-torture as I am still on a health kick.  Curse you, DIE-t!!!), I will, instead, present pictures of 2 sinful TCC treats for you, dear readers, taken from the days of yore when I just didn't care a bit about counting calories.  *sigh*

Classic marble cheesecake

Classic marble cheesecake (S$5.60/Php184.80* a slice) is the perfect afternoon weekend treat for me; a little well-deserved indulgence after 5 days of serious tasks and duties.  TCC's version was actually what started the Little One's preference for cheesecakes (I swear she doesn't eat any other kind of cake.  Yes, even the chocolate kind!).  It's simply a rich, smooth, creamy cheesecake with a thick, compact chocolate base.  Yummy!

For an equally delicious but sinful drink, their Toffee choc frappe (S$8.00/Php264.00) fits the bill perfectly.  Ice cold espresso mixed in with sweet toffee nut syrup and luscious chocolate ice cream.  A sprinkling of hazelnut shavings top it off nicely.

These are what my sweet dreams are literally made of. *sigh*  To live in a world where you can eat anything without gaining a pound... Heaven...
