So when the Family found ourselves near their Vivo City branch during the Husband's birthday, we decided to splurge a bit in celebration of the Dada's big __ - 0. 😁
Heads-up: Prices are bit heavy on the pocket; but servings are good enough for 2 to share (which what the Husband and I did as we wanted to try out as many dishes as possible.
First up, The Jamie's Italian Burger (S$34.50/Php1,173). Prime beef patty topped with pancetta, onions, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and the house's special sauce. Packed between a brioche bun and served with a side of fries (or chips as the British call it.)
Another dish we decided to try was the Prawn Linguine (S$27.00/Php918). A hearty dish of linguine noodles with prawns, tons of garlic and tomatoes (among others).
We didn't forget the Daughter, of course. She decided to get the kid's meal of Happy Chicken Lollipops (S$9.50/Php323) which came with a side salad, potatoes and a glass of apple juice.
For drinks, we got a glass of Basil tea (S$5.50/Php187) and a mocktail they call the Refresher (S$7.50/Php255) which is basically freshly squeezed lemon juice with cranberry juice and sweetened with a dash of elderflower cordial.
I have always associated Jamie Oliver with clean, healthy and hearty meals made with fresh, simple ingredients. And a meal at this restaurant fits this to a tee.
We came out with a much deeper appreciation of what a little bit of creativity and innovation can do to the usual healthy ingredients.
