SG | oBike

I've said it once and I'll say it again.  Singapore has a great public transport system.  You don't really need to have a car here.  There's bus lines and MRT stations and taxis galore!  You're all set.

Heck, nowadays, you can even bike (even without physically owning one)!

OBike

All around the city state, you can find these adorable bikes for rent.  Managed by oBike, a local Singapore company that offers stationless bike sharing services.  You'll see them in most sidewalks, lovingly calling out to tired pedestrians.

Renting one is easy as:
  1. UNLOCK(-ing) the bike by scanning the QR code of each vehicle using the oBike app (available to download in Goggle Play or the Apple App store).  The app can also help you locate the nearest oBike cycle nearest to your location.
  2. RIDE.
  3. PARK and lock the bike manually to end your trip.  Make sure you park them in places that would not obstruct traffic or pedestrian ways.

Rides cost S$1.00 per 30 minutes (approx. Php34).  No bad for short trips.  ☺
