PicaPic's Retro Game & Watch Electronic Handheld Games

Children of the 80s, and perhaps the early 90s, would be all too well aware of Game & Watch electronic handheld games.  In a time when the internet was still in its early stages and computers were big, heavy boxes of equipment you use at home only, these small handheld consoles served as the unofficial time wasters of our youth.

Unlike the sophisticated game consoles that we have nowadays, Game & Watch devices were simple electronic machines that required you to perform very simple tasks.  Actions/movements were very basic (left, right, up, down, jump) and one device held only one (*gasp*) game.  Not much variety but it sure kept us entertained for hours on end.  I especially loved going to our old dentist before since she had a stock of these babies on hand for her patients.

The Game & Watch may have lost its popularity, replaced by the more popular and continually evolving devices we have now, but it still never fails to bring out nostalgic memories for those of us who did grow up playing these games.  So it was such a delight to have discovered Pica-Pic.com through Mr. Noel Amo's Batangala blog.

Pica-pic.com is full of various Game & Watch games that you can play online.  Just pick one that you like and play away!

I never, in my wildest dreams, would have thought that there were so many versions of these electronic devices!  I spend hours on end in delightful repose, reliving fond childhood gaming memories.  So happy!!!  J
