Eat that Red Kimono!

Like most people, I, too love Japanese cuisine.  It's something I crave constantly and have to meet at least once a month.  So it's a good thing that, here in the Philippines, there are tons of affordable Japanese eateries available, both fast food and fine dining establishments clearly represented.

We're tried a lot of places here specializing in Japanese fare; but thus far, my favorite would be Red Kimono.

Lugang Cafe at Mall of Asia

I think I've never tried Taiwanese cuisine before (or maybe I already did but just didn't know any better), so when we came back to the Philippines and saw Lugang Cafe at Mall of Asia, we knew it was about time to broaden our (culinary?) horizons.

Chez Karine Bakery's Muscovado Pudding

Chez Karine Bakery... tons have blogged about them; lots have been said about the food.  So when my little family found ourselves staying a few days at one of the hotels in BGC, I knew we just had to drop by this place and try them out, at least once.

Let's Make It a More Meaningful Christmas

NOTE:  Hey! Hey!  Finally will be starting on my Philippine-based posts again!  But sit back and relax, will be writing about Singapore post-able topics again soon...  J

Hay.... Iba talaga ang Pasko sa 'Pinas; as many a hardened OFW has uttered.  It's really such a relief to spend the holidays here, surrounded with loved ones and all the familiar things that bring us comfort.

Old and New Favorites from Starbucks™ Singapore

An old favorite of mine at any coffee shop is a hot cup of Cappuccino.  Selling for S$5.50 (Php187.00*) at Starbucks™, it's actually one of the cheapest items available on the menu. Don't let it food you, though.  I actually much prefer a simple concoction rather than a more complex one.

Cotton On may not make it to my list of favorite clothing brands of all time, but you can definitely count me as a fan of their stationary store equivalent -- typo.
