Christmas is but a few days away; and while doing a little shopping over the weekend, I came across this nifty and very interesting item at POPULAR, a well-known bookstore here in Singapore.

Developed by Summit™ toys, the Zillionz™ Savings Goal ATM Bank is a fun, enjoyable way to teach children the importance of saving money.  It works just like an ATM, recognizing various bill and coin values and even requires the use of a personal PIN number to keep your kid's money secure.

Features

The best feature?  It comes with a programmable savings goal function that lets your child key in his savings goals (total amount needed and time left to save).  It's really an ingenious item.

This may sound like such a boring present to give to a child; but personally, I think it's a great way to help develop young minds become a little financially savvy.  I've always believed that the teaching the value of saving is very important.  And it will be much easier to teach children while they're young.

Item sells for S$49.90 (Php1,650*).  A little steep but well worth the price, don't you agree?  Wonder if we have this in the Philippines?  J
