seda Hotel in BGC

My little family loves hotel staycations!  We have them at least twice a year.  Since the Husband has just so little precious time to spend with us whenever he comes home from Singapore, a night or 2 in a cozy hotel in the Metro is the perfect alternative to an out-of-town vacay for us.  We're near the major malls and the other attractions; all just a few steps away.

Whereas in the past, we'd usually limit our stays in Pasay or in Makati, this time around, we decided we wanted to stay in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) instead.  But still undergoing it's development stages, there were only but few places we could stay in (We stayed at F1 Hotel before in 2011).  Good thing, SEDA opened at just the right time.

It's All About Location, Location, Location.

seda is an Ayala-owned company.  I don't know about you, but when I hear the word Ayala, I expect great location and a classic and elegant aesthetic.

And with seda, I was definitely not disappointed.  Just look at where it's located!

Right beside Bonifacio High Street

Yes, folks, it's just right beside Bonifacio High Street!  So lovin' the location!

seda isn't a 5-star hotel.  If I'm not mistaken, it's actually being marketed as a slightly more expensive basic 4-star accommodation in the provinces (They're currently located in CDO, Laguna and Davao).  And if you're the type who's looking for a place to stay that's not really a backpacker's dream without breaking the bank, then seda's the one you want.

Simplicity At It's Best

I'm a girl of varying tastes.  From the overly gaudy to the simple; I'm fine.  It's really more a question of what my current mood is.  But one thing's for sure, I've always loved clean, classic lines and basic decor, whatever the occasion.

Lobby

This simplistic design follows through in their rooms.

Deluxe room

But comes with a really great view of BGC, of course.

The Eats

Like most hotels, seda offers casual dining choices at their misto restaurant.

Buffet breakfast at misto

Food's pretty basic; but delicious nevertheless.  TIP #1: Order the Spanish Omelette when having breakfast in the mornings.  It's the best!

Food... glorious food! (Spanish Omelette at topmost right)

TIP #2:  You're better off meeting your sushi cravings elsewhere.  Just saying...

Anything Else?

Hmmm... there's also the Straight Up bar located on the roof deck with a spectacular view of the BGC skyline.  Pool and gym for the health buffs, too.

Pool

But mostly, though, we enjoy the accessibility to the parks and malls around the area.  And that's a huge plus in my book.

The bustling city at night

Heavenly... J
