I've never really liked moving to different homes frequently.  Although it's actually a good excuse to take stock of all the junk inside the house; but still, it's a necessary evil for us.  That advantage aside, moving to and fro various places also gives us a chance to explore new territories and uncover hidden gems.

Take our new favorite park, for instance, located just across the street from our abode in Singapore.

Bedok Reservoir Park

Bedok Reservoir Park, a 417,000 m² former sand quarry turned into a luscious green oasis in the middle of various towering residential buildings.

Our green oasis

This being a reservoir, it is but expected that a lot of the visitors come here to partake in various water sports and activities (like fishing and dragon boat racing).  It's also popular place for skaters, bikers, and joggers; or if you're like us, the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll.

So peaceful

Simply put, it's really nice, green place for lazing around, too.

Taking a stroll

Just right for our little bonding moments.

One happy family

In the grand scheme of things, it's these simple, precious, meaningful moments that make the most lasting of memories, don't you think?  J

  2. The Bedok Reservoir is a right in front of the condo block of my cousins, whom I stayed in my first time in Singapore back in 2010. It's so nice, very quiet, during weekends you can see people running and families strolling.Maybe the closest version of Manila is the La Mesa Ecopark?

  3. It's nice that they're still keeping parks over there even if everything is so modern and busy :)

  4. I love going to parks. Those trees seem to just want to embrace me and ease me of all my worries.

There's just so much to see in Singapore. Yes, it's the simple joys which matter the most.

  5. Might be going to SG soon! Will bookmark this place. The only garden I went to when I was there was the Botannical Garden.

This seems like a good place for a picnic :)

    1. Yup, it is. But now that you mention it, I don't see a lot of picnickers here. A lot of sports enthusiasts though. =)
