My Rogue Vintage Suitcase from SimpleJoys

I used to stash all my precious keepsakes and mementos (cards, trinkets, and the like) inside an old, and sadly now empty, cardboard box of Patchi chocolates (which, by the way, was a gift from the ex-BF, now Hubby.)

However, when the Little One arrived, I found my old keeper lacking in enough space.  I've been meaning to include some items of hers to serve as keepsakes too, and there's only so much you can stuff inside a cardboard box before it finally bursts at the seams.

Good thing I came across a SimpleJoys store one day and found this...

Simple Joys' rogue vintage suitcase

This vintage, Parisian-inspired suitcase is just the thing I need to store my growing number of keepsakes.  It's made from durable wood, covered with canvas and bordered with leather strips.

I just love the brass details that give this otherwise new suitcase a more old and worn vintage feel.

Details... details... details...

The suitcase comes in 3 sizes -- a small, medium and large.  We bought the medium one, selling for Php1,500, since it's just the right size for all our trinkets and for any future items we have coming in.

Just some of our keepsakes -- our wedding toppers, letters, pins,
and the Little One's booties and shirts

I'm trying to keep our stuff to only the most precious of items since I will be giving this luggage and all it's contents to the Little One someday.

Oh!  And just recently, I also had another use for this luggage when it became part of the cake/souvenir/gift table's decor during the Little One's baptism.

The Little One's cake/souvenir/gift table

Add a few vintage necklaces here, drape the Little One's blanket there, stuff in an old antique fairytale book of the family's together with Tatty bear and faux pearls and you have yourself one very simple table centerpiece.

Tadaa!

Such a versatile little number, don't you think?  J
