There's Nothing More Comforting Than a Real Book...

And I agree (post inspired by a college classmate who is also behind the Live... As If You Like It blog)

People usually associate their life through seeing and experiencing things, places, and events; but I also experience my life through specific smells.  And growing up in a post-war fixer upper with a small makeshift library in Pasay City, the smell of old, worn down, and well-loved hard bound books were what filled my waking days and fitfully sleepy nights.

And because of this, I am deeply elated with the smell of books, whether new or old.  And although in keeping up with the times and for more practical reasons,  I will eventually shift to an ebook reader; but I will still cherish and make my child know the importance of the written word through physical tomes.

@Pinay Travel Junkie: Same here. =)

@stacy: I think we're moving into that direction too. I'm still sad though. =(

@Ishmael Fischer Ahab: Me too but moving to another country is hard and transporting books is expensive. =(

@Spanish Pinay: Cool! Wonder if the owners are Spanish? =)

@Sumi Go: There really is nothing like the fele of a book in your hands but technology nowadays is shifting. I'm trying to stay with the old habits but there will really be no way for me to transport my favorite titles unless I get them in ebook form. =(
